This is my '71 Chevelle. Right now, it has 95,000 original miles on it. I bought this car 6 months before I turned 16. My dad and I spent almost every single one of those nights in the garage replacing gaskets, light bulbs, the whole suspension, every single piece of the interior (except for the dash), and just generally making it driveable.
I drove the car everyday all through high school and the very beginning of college. The whole time making it better one piece at a time and, as paychecks permitted. I then decided that I didn't really want my Chevelle in the middle of a big, college campus, parking lot, so I split the cost of a beater S10 with my dad and have been using it as daily transportation up until recently.
This move allowed me the time to put a 4-wheel disc brake kit on the car, a full Flowmaster exhaust kit, and just general piece of mind that it is safe.
Right now, I am in the process of building a 383 to replace the 350, and I just got done putting Hotchkis rear control arms on.
